Alternative and Complementary Therapies for Sarcoma
Dr. Murray Brennan: Alternative therapies - I like to think of them as complementary therapies. They are not alternative. The great tragedy is when effective treatment is ignored in the search for some magic bullet, some magic potion. Conversely, complementary treatments can be extraordinarily helpful in a patient coping with a sarcoma, with any disease for that matter. They need to be balanced; they need to be used judiciously. And like so many other things in life, if they appear to be good to be true, they almost always are too good to be true.
