Sarcoma Specialists
Dr. Murray Brennan: Sarcoma is a rare disease, an orphan disease, and so it's crucial that you find someone and some group who has a broad-based knowledge of what is available. That will usually mean a cancer center, or certainly a sarcoma-dedicated specialist, because he or she will have available all of the important things that determine outcome: high quality pathology, good radiology, people who understand the benefits and the side effects of treatment, and people who know where these multi-disciplinary combinations fit into best place. It's crucial, but it does exist. There are, out there, people that can help.
