Sarcoma Survivorship
Dr. Murray Brennan: I've often said, perhaps cynically, that living with cancer is not the problem, dying of cancer is the problem. But there are other difficulties even for those who are cured, who are 5, 10, 15 years out from their diagnosis. It always sits there, on the edge of the shoulder, will it come back? Will I get a complication? Am I at greater risk of another cancer?
So living your life, even after you're cured, is also a stress. But if you're willing to give back to some others, you could make this a rewarding experience, tragic as that may seem.
