Conversations with your Oncologist
Dr. Robert Maki: In general you'll want to find out what the side effects of treatment will be, how it will impact your quality of life, and really what your alternatives are in terms of choices. Because in most situations, there is no one exact correct answer, and you have a palette, a variety of options to choose from. It really should be a dialogue, and it's something that really needs to be opened between you and your medical oncologist in making the right treatment decision for that particular moment.
