Second Opinions for Sarcoma Patients
Dr. Lor Randall: So if a patient has been diagnosed with a sarcoma at a community or sometimes regional center, where there's not a defined sarcoma program, there is certainly no harm, and it certainly should be encouraged, that the patient get at least a second opinion at a center that has a multi-disciplinary dedicated group. It's something that, if the treating physicians are not comfortable with that concept, that's all the more reason to get that second opinion.
