Bruce Shriver, PhD

Bruce Shriver is a Visiting Professor in the Computer Science Department at the University of Tromsø in Norway. In his consulting company, Genesis 2, Inc., he undertakes technology assessment and strategic planning studies in high-performance computer systems including distributed and parallel systems, microprocessors, bus protocols, chipsets, and high-performance I/O interconnection structures. He also does intellectual property and patent litigation related studies.

Bruce lost his only daughter, Liddy, to Ewing’s sarcoma after her courageous and inspirational 21-month battle with the disease. He is a cancer survivor. After having a radical retropubic prostatectomy for prostate cancer, the cancer reoccurred twenty months later. He then underwent 40 rounds of IMRT salvage radiation therapy.
